Crazy Plastics gives back!

Nelson Mandela Day commemorates the lifetime of service Nelson Mandela gave to South Africa and the world. It was launched on his birthday, 18 July 2009 via a unanimous decision by the UN General Assembly. Mandela Day calls on us all, every day, to make the world a better place. Each year, on 18 July, we look back on what has been done, and forward to what can be done.

The Mandela Day campaign message is:  "Nelson Mandela has fought for social justice for 67 years. We're asking you to start with 67 minutes."

"We would be honoured if such a day can serve to bring together people around the world to fight poverty and promote peace, reconciliation and cultural diversity," according to a statement issued on Mandela's behalf.

At Crazy Plastics, social responsibility is an initiative we hold close to our hearts. We are pleased to give support to The Lighthouse Baby shelter.

Crazy Plastics gives back

This Mandela Day, with support from the Crazy Plastics community we were able to donate care packages to The Lighthouse Baby shelters. These care packages contained cleaning supplies, stationery, toys, sweets and treats - all delivered in our handy salsa boxes.

If you would like to donate or volunteer with the organisation you can contact them on the following details: info@thelighthousebabyshelter.co.za or 011 795 4207.
